Member Representatives

The seven Member Representatives of Mercy Investment Services have worked to create the infrastructure of the program, incorporating best in class governance, social responsibility and investment practices. Each Member Representative serves on behalf of a Community of the Sisters of Mercy, including the Institute.

Lindora Cabral, RSM, is a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Northeast Community. She facilitates Bridges out of Poverty workshops for the United Way of Chittenden County. She also facilitates a program related to Bridges out of Poverty for women in the court system for the Chittenden County State’s Attorney Office. Sr. Lindora’s past experience includes serving as director of Mercy Connections, Inc.; in leadership for the Vermont Sisters of Mercy; and board memberships in the community and sponsored ministries of the Sisters of Mercy.

 

Katherine Glosenger, RSM, is currently on a sabbatical after being the treasurer of the St. Louis Regional Community for 28 years prior to the regional community merging into the South Central Community. She was responsible for the investments of the St. Louis Regional Community until July 1, 2008. She serves on the Audit Committee for Salve Regina University; the Finance and Audit Committee for the Sisters of Mercy Health System; and the Finance Committee for Mount Saint Agnes Theological Center.

 

Mary Kelly, RSM, Dr. PH, is a tenured associate professor at the University of Detroit Mercy. She holds a doctorate in public health from the University of Michigan, a master of business administration degree from Michigan State University and a bachelor of arts degree from Mercy College of Detroit. Until June 2009, Sr. Mary served as the internal coordinator for the legal and financial aspects of the reconfiguration of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Since 2000, Sr. Mary has also served as a member of Catholic Health Services, the public juridic person that oversees Trinity Health, the fourth-largest Catholic health system in the U.S.

 

Christine McCann, RSM, is the president of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic Community. Prior to her election, she served as president of the Sisters of Mercy, Regional Community of Merion and in various administrative and educational ministry roles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Gwynedd Mercy College and a master’s degree in leadership and administration from Boston College. Sr. Christine currently serves on the Sponsors Council of Catholic Health East, the Board of Directors of Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Board of Trustees of Gwynedd Mercy College.

 

Sheila Megley, RSM, PhD, is a member of the leadership team for the Sisters of Mercy, West Midwest Community. Prior to serving in religious leadership, she served in higher education as a president, provost, academic dean, and faculty member. She has served on several nonprofit boards in the areas of the arts, community services, and education, as well as government commissions and task forces. Sr. Sheila holds a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics, a master of arts degree in theology, a master of arts degree in English, a master of science degree in accounting, and a PhD in English literature. She also has passed the CPA exam.

 

Gaye Moorhead, RSM, is mission services liaison at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Previously, she served as president of the Sisters of Mercy of Rochester. As staff attorney at Diocesan Migrant and Refugee Services in El Paso, Texas, she represented individuals in immigration court proceedings. Sr. Gaye holds a bachelor’s degree in English/secondary education from the State University of New York (Geneseo) and a juris doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

 

Patricia A. Sullivan, RSM, ScD, RN, is the president of Support Our Aging Religious, Inc. (SOAR!). She previously served as director of New Hampshire Catholic Charities; president of the New Hampshire Regional Community of the Sisters of Mercy; director of health care policy, Sisters of Mercy Health System; assistant/associate professor of graduate nursing administration at Boston University, St. Xavier University, and the University of Maryland. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Harvard University School of Public Health, and advanced certificates in policy sciences from the University of Maryland, and bioethics from Georgetown University’s Kennedy Institute of Bioethics. Sr. Patricia has published in professional journals of nursing and is co-author, with Timothy Brown, of Setting Hearts on Fire, A Spirituality for Leaders.
