Who We Are

Logo_for_Who_We_Are_on_websiteMercy Investment Services is an asset management program for the collective investment and professional management of the endowment, operating, and other funds of the Sisters of Mercy and the eligible sponsored and co-sponsored ministries that choose to participate, all of which are tax-exempt organizations engaged in religious and charitable activities.

The idea behind the program is that, by combining their assets, participants may obtain lower costs for the investment of their funds and access to better performing investment managers than each would otherwise have.

Mercy Investment Services is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, 501c3 organization that is listed in The Official Catholic Directory. Mercy Investment Services was established to provide socially responsible investment advisory and money management services so as to enhance the financial resources of program participants.

Mercy Investment Services management administers the custodial account, chooses the Program Funds in which participants invest, evaluates the Investment Consultant and the Investment Advisers over time and performs other administrative services.

In the event that Mercy Investment Services is liquidated, its Articles of Incorporation require that any net assets remaining after the return of the participants’ invested funds will be distributable to one or more charitable organizations chosen by its Member Representatives.
