Since 1990, the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance (DCPA), a Mercy Partnership Fund loan recipient, has engaged residents in the Detroit area on social, moral, political and economic issues that strengthen communities and create positive change. DCPA's projects include developing affordable housing and commercial space to revitalize low-income neighborhoods.

As part of its work, DCPA supports On the Rise Bakery, which rents a DCPA-renovated building. Men transitioning to society following incarceration or substance abuse treatment run the bakery as they work to change their lives. Click here to learn more about On the Rise.
